Thanks again eshawn!!
There are some good deals in this week's ad... have you found anything worthy of your gift card yet? The last Fry's gift card I got sat in my wallet for months, waiting for the perfect sale. |

I was looking for a nice Intel CPU/motherboard combo but ended buying this one for $139.99+ 8%tax - $50 GC, $101.19.
Haven't shopped in the Downers Grove store in the last 2 years, but was within 15 miles from the store. So I decided make a detour to pay a visit. Most of my Fry's purchases has been on line lately,
to save on time and driving. Didn't stay long like my usual 2 hours of going around the store and looking for other things on sale. Had to go somewhere else. Not sure when I'll be visiting that store again,
it's a 52 mile round trip and I hate driving far, especially in this weather. |

I'd say that's a good use of a gift card! I'm close to needing a hard drive upgrade as I've only got about 40GB free on my 500GB drive... and that's with about 200GB stored on a 300GB external too.
I'm even farther out than you. I've got a 40 mile one-way trip to Downers Grove, so it has to be a really good deal to be worth the trip. I like buying retail, but between gas and time, Fry's hasn't been worth it lately unless I'm already in the area. That, and there is a TigerDirect outlet off of Route 59 in Naperville. It's not the same experience as Fry's, but it's a shorter drive and pretty good prices depending on what you're buying.
Have a great weekend! |

I live < 1.5 miles from the Orland Park, IL TigerDirect (now CompUSA) store.
I go there once in a while just to browse around and see what they have. |
